Governance Matters hosts many exciting events at which you can learn about nonprofit governance, explore opportunities to network, exchange information, and meet the experts. Governance Matters' events and events sponsored by other organizations are included in the Calendar.

Breakfast Roundtables
Governance Matters Breakfast Roundtables give both members and nonmembers a chance to interact with respected thinkers and practitioners in the nonprofit world and to share information and experience. We host 10 Roundtables each year on the third Thursday of the month.

Our next Roundtable session is scheduled for November 15, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. and is entitled, "What is the Board's Role in Managing Human Capital?" You can register here.

Solutions Matter
Solutions Matter seminars are geared toward nonprofit staff and board members, a broadening audience Governance Matters reaches by collaborating with local umbrella groups. The semi-monthly sessions draw upon the experience of the participants as well as the expertise of the session leaders to develop practical solutions to issues and situations that challenge board performance.

Conferences
In April, 2009, Governance Matters sponsored a conference entitled Stepping Up Matters! Strong Boards = Healthy Nonprofits = Vibrant Communities. The conference was a collaboration among Governance Matters, VCG/boarnetUSA and BoardSource in conjunction with The George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising. Governance Matters biennial governance conference was held in November 2005, tackling the important issues of nonprofit ethics and leadership.
